The MTTC Lower Elementary (PK–3) Education Subtests are designed to assess the knowledge and skills of prospective teachers seeking certification in the field of elementary education PK-3 in the state of Michigan. This test is specifically aimed at evaluating candidates' understanding of scientific concepts and their ability to apply that knowledge in a classroom setting.
The test consists of 210 multiple-choice questions, which are divided into four subareas. This boot camp is ONLY for Subtest Two: LITERACY

Meet the instructor
Ms. Amanda Wubbena
Amanda is an
eighteen year veteran educator. She has taught grades K-5 and has been a leader
in multiple schools where she supported new teachers, new instructional
coaches, and veteran teachers.
She has developed and facilitated professional development to increase instructional practices and build teacher capacity.
Ms. Wubbena spent five years working in a turn-around school as the Reading Specialist. During this time, she supported the school to increase language arts acquisition. As a result, the school grade increased from a triple D to a B.
Amanda currently is on the school support team at an elementary school where she works with ESOL students and coordinates state testing.
