Dr. Debby Mitchell

Debbie Mitchell is a physical education specialist with more than 35 years of experience teaching students from preschool through college and graduate-level programs. She holds a doctorate in physical education and has contributed to the field through conference presentations, published work, and service on doctoral dissertation committees. A pioneer for women in athletics, she was among the first female athletes at her university and helped expand opportunities for girls' sports in her community, including coaching the first girls' basketball team at the YMCA. She is passionate about helping students develop confidence, strength, and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
